French CBC have the perfect show for you it Call Les Chefs and it is what a foods show should be about.
It is maybe in my culture where in Quebec we are more creative and looking to elevated our self to a better Joie de Vivre ? More then follow what is in the News of the Days and flock like little lambs to the slaughterhouse.
This show is a competition but with respect for the Artisans, featuring all the level of production from the field to your plate, no stupid ingredients as the American show, this show is more a lesson in what we call "Metier de Bouche "( Mouth Artisan Catering Trade ) or ( Mesitiere della gastonomia) Gastronomy trade.
After a Challenge with local ingredients the judge follow the evolution of the the creation and judge the technic, creation, work ethic... and when the challenge is over the judge taste and note the dishes, the two less successful have a challenge and have to demonstrate there technic there one leaving the show but they are all invited to a master class on this last challenge.
It is a Fantastic show for real foody
